Shirley Valentine, Managing Director, Information Technology Practice
With over twenty five years of experience in driving business results through IT and business process improvement, Shirley leads our Technology practice. Her core skills are in IT/business alignment and Program Management.
She has held senior IT delivery roles at leading firms in the financial services, consumer packaged goods and retail industries, including:
• VP Information Technology and CIO at Nuveen Investments
• VP Technology, Worldwide Restaurant Solutions at McDonald’s
• VP Information Technology at Kraft Foods
At Nuveen, Shirley created an Enterprise Program Office responsible for delivering the business results for a 3 year strategic IT and business process re-invention targeting over $50 M in business value.
At Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) she was a partner responsible for strategy, business process and technology projects in the health care, government and retail industries.
Shirley has expertise in leading large, complex programs such as a $150M program to develop and deploy technology for 30,000 restaurants globally for McDonald’s. She has led major business and technology integration efforts, including leadership roles in the merger of Kraft with General Foods, and Oscar Mayer’s acquisition by Philip Morris.
Shirley has an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Management/Industrial Engineering from Purdue. She is also a CPA.
Don Santoski, Partner
Over his 24 year career, Don has been associated with several consulting firms including Cresap, McCormick and Paget (Towers Perrin), Mercer Management Consulting, Mainspring and IBM Strategic Consulting Services.
He has served in industries ranging from financial services and healthcare to heavy manufacturing and utilities. Don served as the head of Mercer’s Chicago office from 1997 to 2000, and founded Beldon Partners, a firm focused on improving problem-solving performance in a client services environment.
Don’s areas of specialty include strategy development, market analysis, organization design, process improvement and leadership development. His most recent engagements include:
• Developing a comprehensive strategy for a supplier to the banking industry; broadening service offerings, targeting higher-growth markets and adding technology features
• Creating a technology strategy for a Midwestern electric utility, resulting in more efficient and cost-effective support of the utility’s business strategy
• Developing a strategy for competing more effectively in Medicare and Medicaid markets for a consortium of U.S. health insurers
• Creating a new marketing and product development organization for a large Midwestern health insurer
Don holds an MBA degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Business and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin.
David Mulligan, Principal
David is experienced and results-oriented, with a strong background in business strategy, IT, program management and eCommerce. His background includes an accomplished track record at Accenture, Best Buy and Deloitte.
Recently, Dave led the re-structuring and performance improvement program for the IT function at a $1.7 B manufacturing company. He is well versed in developing all aspects of business cases, from the pro forma financial analyses to the project feasibility and customer benefits.
David leads engagements with a practical, thorough, fact-based discipline.
David has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. |
