  • As CEO of leading information provider and database management firm, acted as a turn-around agent to restore the business to profitability and attract outside investors. Responsible for all aspects of operations, including outsourced systems.
  • CEO and President of a consulting firm providing systems integration, package selection and implementation support. The firm also developed an array of underwriting products for life insurance, reinsurance, property & casualty and health companies. Grew the company from annual revenues of $300K to over $10M.
  • A recognized subject matter expert in life and reinsurance electronic underwriting. Speaker at LOMA (Life Office Management Association) conferences, industry trade shows and user group meetings.
  • Developed three products, WinRisk™, WinAPP and WinConnect which are widely accepted and installed at many of the top US insurers.

  • Specializes in quick hit implementation, organizational change leadership, program management and executive coaching
  • 20 years as a consultant, executive and entrepreneur. Clients include top tier health insurers, utilities, software companies and property & casualty insurers
  • 12 years with Ernst & Young management consulting. Developed quick hit, reengineering and change management methodologies, tools, techniques and training programs. Led major change projects for numerous insurance and health care providers as well as Ford, Eaton and American Express

Senior Line Executive:

 

  • Strong background in building new organizations, with focus on operational requirements, information flows and creative use of outsourcing. Experienced in financial services, insurance brokerage and cash management
  • Expertise in business start-ups, organization design, operational efficiency and marketing in the financial services industry
  • Consolidated the Accounts Payable function at a multi-billion financial services firm. Built and managed the organization, comprised of approximately 200 people
  • Responsible for all US real estate activities at a national financial services firm, managing a budget of $200 M and staff of 50. Managed appropriate mix of in-house and outsourced resources to support a 7 M sq ft portfolio. Worked closely with CFO, risk managers, and property claim consultants to recover from 9/11
  • Founded The Princeton Review, a firm providing integrated educational products and services to students, parents, teachers, and educational institutions. (Now a publicly traded company; revenues of $85 M, market capitalization of $240 M)

  • Served as interim manager of a new line of business for a global risk management company with a client base of Fortune 500 firms. Developed the product, pricing and back office functions while running the business while a permanent leader was recruited
  • Directed operations, sales and marketing for a $9M services business. Developed and implemented the strategic plan; grew sales to beat plan
  • Managed a call center handling over 12,000 sales orders per year. Implemented new phone routing & monitoring technology; developed screening criteria and evaluated software vendors. Transformed department to a metrics-driven organization; implemented process improvements to reduce response times and achieved higher customer service metrics
